Nalley Street - The Final Product

It took 3 months and 1 week but the house on Nalley Street in Easley, SC, is finally finished.  It's been a rewarding and tiring experience but I'm satisfied with the house that I've put together.  A lot of thanks go out to my contractor Bill Arceneaux and his team for their work.  I couldn't have done it all without their help.  Also thanks to my dad for helping me get over a couple of humps with the flooring and molding.  Thanks to mom and Aunt Eva for their support and tips on those finishing touches.  Here's some pictures of the finished house.

The Outside - Originally white asbestos shingles with blue trim.  Now grey vinyl with white trim and gutters.  New doors and tilt out replacement windows completed the look.

The Living Room - Originally dark striped wallpaper on every wall as well as the fireplace surround and blue/grey tiled carpet.  Now a light beige walls with white trim.  Tiled around the fireplace surround and new laminate floors throughout.  Yes I did the tile job myself except for the cuts in the larger pieces.  Messy job but turned out good.

The Kitchen - Originally green walls and floral wallpaper, four layers of flooring and no upper cabinets.  Now white upper & lower cabinets, stainless steel sink, black appliances, brush nickel faucet and knobs.  Continued the beige paint and white trim paint to the kitchen as wells as the laminate floors.

Bathroom and Hall - By moving the stairs to another location, I was able to shift the bathroom to accommodate a closet in the 2nd bedroom.  Also added a small linen closet in the hallway.  Continued the color scheme and flooring through these two rooms except used vinyl plank tiles in the bathroom.

Master Bedroom - Originally blue paneled walls and dark carpet.  Closet was being used as stairway to attic.  Now relocated stairs to another location, divided the utility for a walk-in closet and enlarged a window to door for entry into the closet.  Added neutral carpet and darker beige wall paint with white trim.

Second Bedroom - Originally dingy, moldy walls and tile floors.  Now dark beige walls and carpet with the addition of a closet for storage.

Utility Room - Originally twice the size with paneled walls and blue carpet.  Now divided the room to make a closet for the master bedroom, tiled the floors with vinyl plank tiles, used the same light beige color on walls with white trim.  Also used this room as an access point to the attic bonus room.

Attic Bonus Room - Originally two rooms with dark paneled walls, low ceilings and plush carpet.  The stairs were steep and hard to access.  Now the ceiling has been raised and added recessed lighting.  I used dark beige paint on the side walls and light beige paint on the ceiling and window walls with white trim paint.  Added another 300 square feet to the house with the addition of this room.

  1. I love the new outdoor paint color. I'd like my house to be that exactly, what paint color did you use? :)
